Cantaloupe Agua Fresca
A classic Mexican agua fresca made by blending ripe cantaloupe with water, a squeeze of lime, and a touch of sugar for a light, refreshing warm-weather drink.

- 6 cups ripe cantaloupe, cubed
- 2 cups cold water
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 cups ice cubes

Scoop out the seeds from 6 cups cubed ripe cantaloupe and remove the rind, then cut the flesh into rough cubes.

Add cantaloupe, 2 cups cold water, 2 tbsp fresh lime juice, and 2 tbsp granulated sugar to a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 60 seconds.

Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a large pitcher, pressing lightly to extract the juice. Discard any remaining solids.

Stir well and taste, adjusting sugar or lime juice as needed.

Serve immediately over 4 cups ice cubes in tall glasses.
