Ingredients

  • 2 oz dark rum (Gosling's Black Seal preferred)
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • as needed ice cubes
  • 1 lime wedge (for garnish)

Instructions

    Fill a tall highball glass with as needed ice cubes.

    Squeeze 1/2 oz fresh lime juice over the ice.

    Pour 4 oz ginger beer into the glass, filling it about three-quarters full.

    Gently float 2 oz dark rum (Gosling's Black Seal preferred) over the back of a spoon onto the top of the drink to create a dramatic dark layer.

    Garnish with 1 lime wedge (for garnish) on the rim.

    Stir lightly before drinking to combine.
