Cinnamon Horchata Latte
A warm, spiced drink made by steaming cinnamon-sweetened rice milk with a shot of strong espresso or coffee, inspired by the classic Mexican agua fresca.
Ingredients
- 2 cups unsweetened rice milk
- 2 cinnamon stick
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 shots strong brewed espresso or very strong coffee
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Combine 2 cups unsweetened rice milk, 2 cinnamon stick, and 2 tbsp granulated sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat.

Warm the mixture, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves and the milk is steaming but not boiling, about 5 to 6 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick.

Stir in 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract.

Pour 2 shots strong brewed espresso or very strong coffee into each serving mug, then pour the warm spiced rice milk over the top.

Dust with 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon and serve immediately.
