Golden Milk Turmeric Latte
A warming, anti-inflammatory beverage from Ayurvedic tradition featuring turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, and other spices blended with milk and lightly sweetened.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 tsp ground cardamom
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 2 tsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, warm the 2 cups milk (dairy or plant-based).

Whisk in 1 tsp ground turmeric, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper, and 1/8 tsp ground cardamom.

Add 1 tsp coconut oil and continue to heat, whisking frequently, until the mixture is hot but not boiling (about 5 minutes).

Remove from heat and stir in 2 tsp honey (or maple syrup for vegan option) and 1/4 tsp vanilla extract.

For a frothy texture, carefully transfer the mixture to a blender and blend on low for 30 seconds, or use a milk frother.

Pour into mugs and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon if desired.
