Iced Matcha Lemonade
A striking layered drink that combines earthy ceremonial-grade matcha with bright fresh lemonade over ice. Tangy, grassy, and visually stunning.
Ingredients
- 2 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder
- 4 tbsp hot water (not boiling, about 175F)
- 6 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp simple syrup
- 1.5 cups cold water
- 2 cups ice cubes

Sift 2 tsp ceremonial-grade matcha powder into a small bowl. Add 4 tbsp hot water (not boiling, about 175F) and whisk vigorously in a W or M motion until no lumps remain and the matcha is frothy.

In a pitcher, combine 6 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 tbsp simple syrup, and 1.5 cups cold water. Stir well to make the lemonade base.

Fill two tall glasses with 2 cups ice cubes.

Pour the lemonade base over the ice, filling each glass about two-thirds full.

Slowly pour the whisked matcha mixture over the back of a spoon on top of the lemonade to create a striking green layer. Serve immediately.
