Miso Butter Corn
Sweet corn kernels tossed in creamy miso butter, mayo, and bonito flakes - a trending Japanese street food and appetizer.
Ingredients
- 3 cups corn kernels (fresh or frozen), thawed if frozen
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 tsp white miso paste
- 1/4 cup Japanese mayonnaise
- 2 tsp bonito flakes
- 1/2 tsp nori (seaweed) powder
- pinch salt

Heat 3 tbsp butter in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.

Add 3 cups thawed if frozen corn kernels (fresh or frozen) and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until warmed through and lightly golden.

In a small bowl, mix 2 tsp white miso paste with 1/4 cup Japanese mayonnaise until smooth.

Pour the miso mayo over the corn and toss until well coated.

Season with pinch salt to taste.

Transfer to a serving bowl and top with 2 tsp bonito flakes and 1/2 tsp nori (seaweed) powder.
