Ingredients

  • 8 slices brioche or Texas toast bread, cut into 1-inch thick sticks
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp granulated sugar
  • as needed cooking spray (neutral oil)
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (for serving)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a small bowl, mix 4 oz softened cream cheese, 2 tbsp powdered sugar, and half the pure vanilla extract until smooth.

  2. 2

Cut a pocket lengthwise into each cut into 1-inch thick sticks brioche or Texas toast bread stick, being careful not to cut all the way through. Fill each pocket with a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture and press gently to close.

  3. 3

In a shallow bowl, whisk 3 large eggs, 1/4 cup whole milk, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 2 tsp granulated sugar, and the remaining pure vanilla extract together until combined.

  4. 4

Dip each stuffed bread stick into the egg mixture, letting it soak for about 5 seconds per side.

  5. 5

Preheat the air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3 minutes. Spray the basket with cooking spray (neutral oil). Arrange the sticks in a single layer and spray the tops.

  6. 6

Cook at 370°F for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and set. Serve immediately with 1/4 cup pure maple syrup (for serving) for dipping.
