Air Fryer Vegetable Chips
Crispy, healthy chips made from assorted vegetables and cooked in the air fryer for a guilt-free snack or side.
Ingredients
- 1 cup assorted vegetables, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
- 1/8 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
-
1
Wash and thoroughly dry all vegetables. Using a mandoline slicer or sharp knife, slice vegetables to create 1 cup thinly sliced assorted vegetables for optimal crispness.
-
2
Place sliced vegetables in a large bowl. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture, which is crucial for achieving crispy chips.
-
3
In a small bowl, combine 1 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/8 tsp freshly ground black pepper, and 1/8 tsp garlic powder to create a seasoned oil.
-
4
Drizzle the seasoned oil over the vegetable slices and toss gently with your hands to ensure even coating without breaking the delicate slices.
-
5
Preheat the air fryer to 350°F for 3 minutes.
-
6
Working in batches to avoid overcrowding, arrange vegetable slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Overcrowding will result in steaming rather than crisping.
-
7
Air fry for 8-10 minutes, then check for crispness. Shake the basket and continue cooking for another 5-10 minutes until the edges are slightly browned and chips are crisp.
-
8
Carefully remove chips from the air fryer as they can be fragile. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely - they will continue to crisp as they cool.
-
9
Once cooled, serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
