Hummus
Creamy chickpea dip with tahini, lemon, and garlic. A Mediterranean classic perfect for dipping or spreading.
Ingredients
- 2 cans chickpeas (15 oz cans), canned, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cold water
- 1/4 tsp paprika

In a food processor, combine 2 cans canned, drained and rinsed chickpeas (15 oz cans), 1/4 cup tahini, the juice from 1 juiced lemon, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Process until smooth, about 1-2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed.

Add 2 tbsp cold water and process again until creamy and smooth.

Transfer to a serving bowl, drizzle with additional olive oil and sprinkle with 1/4 tsp paprika.

Serve with pita bread, vegetables, or crackers.
