Korean Street Toast
Crispy buttered toast topped with a fried egg, mayo, and ketchup. A simple, addictive Korean street food breakfast.
Ingredients
- 4 bread slices (white or brioche)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 2 tsp vegetable oil (for frying eggs)
- pinch salt
- pinch black pepper

Heat half the 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Toast the 4 bread slices (white or brioche) in the skillet until golden on both sides, about 2 minutes per side. Add more butter as needed.

Transfer the toasted bread slices (white or brioche) to a serving plate and set aside.

In the same skillet, heat 2 tsp vegetable oil (for frying eggs) over medium heat.

Crack the 2 eggs into the skillet and fry until the whites are set but yolks are still runny, about 3 minutes.

Top each toasted bread slices (white or brioche) with a fried eggs.

Drizzle with 2 tbsp mayonnaise and 2 tbsp ketchup.

Season with pinch salt and pinch black pepper. Serve hot.
