Saffron Chai
Fragrant Persian tea infused with saffron, cardamom, and rose petals. Served piping hot with sugar and a squeeze of lemon, it's a warming, aromatic ritual in a cup.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup black tea (loose leaf or bags)
- 1/4 tsp saffron threads, crumbled
- 4 cardamom pods, crushed
- 2 tsp dried rose petals
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 lemon fresh lemon

Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a teapot or kettle.

Add 1/4 cup black tea (loose leaf or bags), 4 crushed cardamom pods, 2 tsp dried rose petals, and 1/4 tsp crumbled saffron threads to a teapot.

Pour boiling water over the tea mixture and let steep for 8-10 minutes, allowing the saffron to release its color and flavor.

Pour into cups through a fine-mesh strainer. Sweeten with 1 tbsp honey to taste.

Serve hot, each cup garnished with a squeeze of 1 lemon fresh lemon juice.
