Tartar-Free Dill Yogurt Sauce
A lighter, high-protein alternative to tartar sauce made with Greek yogurt, fresh dill, capers, and lemon — bright and tangy without any mayo. Pairs perfectly with fish, crab cakes, or fried zucchini.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh dill, finely chopped
- 2 tbsp capers, drained, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1 clove garlic clove, finely minced
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

In a small bowl, combine 1 cup plain full-fat Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh dill, 2 tbsp drained, chopped capers, 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 1 zested lemon (zest only), and 1 clove finely minced garlic clove.

Season with 1/4 tsp kosher salt and 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper. Stir well until fully combined.

Taste and adjust: add more lemon juice for brightness, more dill for herbal flavor, or more capers for brininess.
