Ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 sheets puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp water

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a medium bowl, combine 3 cups shredded cooked chicken breast, 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup chicken broth, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1/2 tsp kosher salt, 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper, and 1 tsp dried parsley. Mix until well combined to create the chicken filling.

  3. 3

On a lightly floured surface, unroll 2 sheets thawed puff pastry. Cut each sheet into 9 squares (3x3 grid).

  4. 4

Place about 1-2 tablespoons of the chicken filling onto one half of each pastry square. Fold the other half of the pastry square over the filling to form a triangle or rectangle. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

  5. 5

In a small bowl, whisk together 1 large egg and 1 tsp water to make the egg wash.

  6. 6

Arrange the prepared chicken puffs on the baking sheet. Brush the tops with the egg wash.

  7. 7

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. The internal temperature of the filling should reach 165°F (74°C).

  8. 8

    Serve warm.
