Ingredients

  • 2 oz blanco tequila (100% agave preferred)
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz agave nectar (optional, for sweeter taste)
  • as needed coarse salt (for rimming)
  • 1 lime wedge (for garnish)
  • as needed ice cubes

Instructions

    Pour some as needed coarse salt (for rimming) onto a small plate.

    Take a cocktail glass and run 1 lime wedge (for garnish) around the rim to moisten it.

    Dip the rim of the glass into the salt, rotating gently to coat evenly. Set the glass aside.

    Fill a cocktail shaker with as needed ice cubes.

    Add 2 oz blanco tequila (100% agave preferred), 1 oz orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec), 1 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz agave nectar (optional, for sweeter taste) (if using) to the shaker.

    Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker feels cold.

    Strain the mixture into the prepared salt-rimmed glass filled with fresh ice.

    Garnish with a lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
