Fried Frog Legs
Tender frog legs soaked in buttermilk and pan-fried in a seasoned cornmeal crust until crispy and golden.
Ingredients
- 2 lbs frog legs, patted dry
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 2 cups vegetable oil

In a medium bowl, soak 2 lbs patted dry frog legs in 1 cup buttermilk for 15 minutes.

In a shallow dish, whisk together 1 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal, and 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning.

Heat 2 cups vegetable oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat to 350 degrees F.

Dredge soaked frog legs thoroughly in the flour mixture to coat.

Fry frog legs in batches for 3 to 4 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
