Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup plain full-fat yogurt
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

    Combine 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1 tsp instant yeast, 1 tsp sugar, and 1/2 tsp salt. Add 1/2 cup plain full-fat yogurt and 1/2 cup warm water and mix into a soft dough.

    Knead 5-6 minutes until smooth. Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.

    Stir 4 minced garlic cloves into 4 tbsp melted unsalted butter and set aside.

    Divide dough into 6 balls. Roll each into an oval about 1/4 inch thick.

    Cook in a very hot dry cast-iron skillet 1-2 minutes per side until large bubbles form and spots are charred.

    Brush hot naan with garlic butter and sprinkle with 4 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro. Keep warm and serve immediately.
