Herbed Rosemary Focaccia
Dimpled Italian flatbread topped with fresh rosemary, coarse salt and olive oil. Trending again for its fluffy crumb and crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 cups warm water
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt
- 1/8 tsp black pepper

In a large bowl, combine 3 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 tsp instant yeast, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Add 1.5 cups warm water and 2 tbsp 1/4 cup olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place for 30 minutes until puffy.

Preheat oven to 425°F. Oil a 9x13 baking sheet with 1 tbsp olive oil.

Transfer dough to prepared sheet. Gently stretch dough to fill the pan.

Using your fingertips, dimple the entire surface of the dough.

Scatter 2 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary over the top and drizzle with remaining olive oil.

Sprinkle generously with 1/2 tsp coarse sea salt and 1/8 tsp black pepper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving. Best served warm.
