Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup grape jelly
  • 1 cup chili sauce
  • 1 tsp sriracha sauce
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine 1 lb ground beef, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, 1 beaten egg, 1/4 cup finely chopped onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Mix well but don't overwork the meat.

  2. 2

Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

  3. 3

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until browned on all sides and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. 4

In a separate saucepan, combine 1 cup grape jelly, 1 cup chili sauce, and 1 tsp sriracha sauce if desired. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until jelly is melted and sauce is smooth.

  5. 5

Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and stir gently to coat. Simmer for 10-15 minutes, until sauce thickens slightly.

  6. 6

Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro, and serve warm with toothpicks.
