Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cans canned diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 tsp sweet paprika
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. 1

In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, brown 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20) until no longer pink, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 6-8 minutes. Drain excess fat.

  2. 2

Reduce heat to medium. Add 1 diced yellow onion and 1 diced green bell pepper to the pot and cook until softened, about 4 minutes. Stir in 4 cloves minced garlic cloves and cook 1 minute more.

  3. 3

Add 2 cans canned diced tomatoes, 2 cups tomato sauce, 2 cups beef broth, 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp sweet paprika, 2 tsp Italian seasoning, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.

  4. 4

Stir in 2 cups elbow macaroni. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until the pasta is tender, about 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve topped with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
