  • 4 hoagie rolls (12-inch), split lengthwise
  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef
  • 8 slices sharp cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 8 leaves romaine lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomato, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 16 slices dill pickle slices
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground

Instructions

    In a small bowl, stir together 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tsp prepared horseradish, and 2 tsp Dijon mustard until smooth. Season with 1/4 tsp kosher salt and 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper.

    Spread the horseradish mayo generously over both cut sides of each 4 split lengthwise hoagie rolls (12-inch).

    Layer 8 slices sliced sharp cheddar cheese on the bottom halves of the rolls.

    Pile 1 lb thinly sliced deli roast beef evenly over the cheese, folding the slices loosely so they do not compress flat.
