Ingredients

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 6 chunks semisweet chocolate chunks (for centers)

Instructions

  1. 1

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup cut into pieces unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth.

  2. 2

Whisk 1/2 cup granulated sugar into the warm chocolate mixture, then whisk in 2 large eggs one at a time. Stir in 1 tsp pure vanilla extract.

  3. 3

Fold in 1/3 cup all-purpose flour, 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1/4 tsp kosher salt until just combined — do not overmix.

  4. 4

Grease 6 silicone muffin cups or small ramekins that fit in your air fryer. Fill each about halfway with batter. Press one semisweet chocolate chunks (for centers) into the center of each and cover with a spoonful of remaining batter.

  5. 5

Air fry at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes until the tops are just set and the edges look done but the center still jiggles slightly.

  6. 6

Let cool in the cups for 2 minutes, then serve warm directly in the cups or carefully unmold onto plates.
