Ingredients

  • 2 oz blended scotch whisky
  • 1/2 oz Islay single malt scotch
  • 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3/8 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and hot water)
  • 3/8 oz ginger syrup
  • as needed ice cubes
  • 1 piece candied ginger (for garnish)

Instructions

    Fill a cocktail shaker with as needed ice cubes.

    Add 2 oz blended scotch whisky, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, 3/8 oz honey syrup (equal parts honey and hot water), and 3/8 oz ginger syrup to the shaker.

    Shake vigorously for 15 seconds until well-chilled.

    Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

    Carefully pour the 1/2 oz Islay single malt scotch over the back of a spoon to float it on top of the drink.

    Garnish with 1 piece candied ginger (for garnish).
