Ingredients

  • 4 medium carrots, peeled, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tsp agave nectar (or maple syrup)

Instructions

    Add 4 peeled, chopped medium carrots, 1 cup fresh orange juice, 1 inch peeled, chopped fresh ginger, 1/4 tsp ground turmeric, 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 tsp agave nectar (or maple syrup), and 1 cup cold water to a high-powered blender.

    Blend on high speed for 60 to 90 seconds until completely smooth.

    Pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or nut-milk bag into a pitcher, pressing or squeezing to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp or save for baking.

    Taste and adjust sweetness with additional 2 tsp agave nectar (or maple syrup) if needed.

    Serve over as needed ice cubes immediately, or refrigerate in a sealed jar for up to 2 days. Shake or stir before serving as the juice will separate.
