Chow Mein
Crispy fried noodles tossed with tender vegetables and your choice of protein in a savory sauce. A classic Asian-American noodle dish that combines textures and flavors for pure satisfaction.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chow mein noodles (crispy fried)
- 12 oz boneless, skinless chicken breast, sliced thin
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 3 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 2 tsp sesame seeds

Heat 3 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 12 oz sliced thin boneless, skinless chicken breast and cook until no longer pink, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Add 2 cloves minced garlic and 1/2 tsp minced fresh ginger to the wok. Cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add 2 cups shredded green cabbage, 1 cup julienned carrots, and 1 thinly sliced red bell pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.

Add 1 lb chow mein noodles (crispy fried) and break them up gently. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes to heat through and combine with vegetables.

Return chicken to the wok. Drizzle with 3 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp oyster sauce, and 1 tsp sesame oil. Toss until everything is well coated.

Top with 2 sliced green onions and 2 tsp sesame seeds. Serve hot.
