Gà Nướng Tỏi Mật
Caramelized Vietnamese garlic honey glazed chicken thighs, a trending modern take on classic grilled chicken.
Ingredients
- 2.5 lbs bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs, patted dry
- 12 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp fish sauce
- 2 tbsp lime juice
- 2 tsp brown sugar
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tsp sesame seeds

In a small bowl, whisk together 12 minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup honey, 2 tsp fish sauce, 2 tbsp lime juice, 2 tsp brown sugar, 2 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, and 1/4 tsp black pepper to make a glaze.

Season the 2.5 lbs patted dry bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs on both sides with salt and pepper.

Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.

Place bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy.

Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes on the other side.

Pour the glaze over the bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs and reduce heat to medium. Simmer for 10-12 minutes, turning the bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs occasionally to coat it with glaze, until fully cooked.

Internal temperature should reach 165°F when measured at the thickest part.

Transfer to a serving plate and garnish with 2 sliced green onions, 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro, and 2 tsp sesame seeds.

Serve hot with steamed rice or vermicelli noodles.
