Queso Dip
A rich and creamy Tex-Mex cheese dip made with melted American cheese, green chiles, and a blend of spices. Perfect for game day or any gathering, served warm with tortilla chips for dipping.
Ingredients
- 16 oz Velveeta or white American cheese, cubed
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 4 oz canned diced green chiles, drained
- 1 jalapeño, seeded, minced
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 cup canned diced tomatoes, drained
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 8 oz tortilla chips

In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine 16 oz cubed Velveeta or white American cheese and 1/2 cup whole milk.

Stir constantly as the cheese melts, about 5-7 minutes. Do not allow the mixture to boil.

Once smooth, stir in 4 oz drained canned diced green chiles, 1 seeded, minced jalapeño, 1/2 cup drained canned diced tomatoes, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/2 tsp ground cumin, and 1/2 tsp chili powder.

Cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring, until everything is heated through and well combined.

Transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro and serve with 8 oz tortilla chips.
