Ingredients

  • 2 cups brewed green tea (such as jasmine or sencha), cooled
  • 4 preserved salty plums (li hing mui, available at Asian grocery stores), pitted
  • 2 tbsp simple syrup or honey
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1

Place 4 pitted preserved salty plums (li hing mui, available at Asian grocery stores) in each serving glass. Using the back of a spoon, lightly crush them to release their juices.

  2. 2

  3. 3

Fill each glass with 2 cups ice cubes.

  4. 4

Pour 2 cups brewed green tea (such as jasmine or sencha), cooled over the ice. Stir gently and taste, adjusting sweetness or sourness as desired.

  5. 5

Serve immediately. Leave the plums in the glass for guests to nibble as they drink.
