Cajun Garlic Butter Shrimp
Succulent shrimp sautéed in a rich butter sauce infused with garlic, spices, and fresh lemon. Quick weeknight dinner that tastes like a seafood restaurant dish.
Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined, peeled and deveined
- 6 tbsp butter
- 8 cloves garlic, minced, minced
- 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped, chopped
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes

Pat 1.5 lbs peeled and deveined large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined dry with paper towels.

In a small bowl, combine 2 tsp seasoning, 1/2 tsp paprika, 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes. Set spice mix aside.

Melt 6 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add 8 cloves minced garlic, minced and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Increase heat to high and add large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined to the skillet. Sprinkle with the spice mix and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until large shrimp (21-25 count), peeled and deveined turn pink and opaque.

Add 4 tbsp fresh lemon juice and 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional) if using. Stir to combine and cook for 30 seconds more.

Remove from heat and stir in 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley, chopped.

Serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with crusty bread for sauce.
