Fried Green Tomato Salad
Crispy cornmeal crusted green tomatoes served over tender greens with creamy goat cheese and tangy remoulade. This salad balances warm crunch with fresh garden flavors.
Ingredients
- 4 medium green tomatoes, sliced
- 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg, whisked
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 6 cups mixed salad greens, washed
- 4 oz goat cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup remoulade dressing
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Whisk 1 whisked egg, 1/4 cup buttermilk, 1/2 tsp salt, and 1/4 tsp black pepper together in a shallow dish.

Combine 1/2 cup yellow cornmeal and 1/4 cup all-purpose flour in a second shallow dish.

Dip 4 medium sliced green tomatoes into the egg mixture, then coat evenly with the cornmeal mixture.
