Pulled Pork BBQ
Juicy slow cooked pork shoulder coated in a smoky rub and tossed with tangy barbecue sauce. Ideal for sandwiches, platters, or family gatherings.
Ingredients
- 4 lbs pork shoulder butt, trimmed
- 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp black pepper, ground
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1.5 cups barbecue sauce

Combine 1/4 cup dark brown sugar, 2 tbsp smoked paprika, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp kosher salt, and 1 tsp ground black pepper in a small bowl.

Rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides of 4 lbs trimmed pork shoulder butt.

Pour 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar into the base of the slow cooker and place pork inside.

Cover and cook on low for 8 hours until internal temperature reaches 200°F and meat is tender.

Shred pork using two forks, discard excess liquid, and toss with 1.5 cups barbecue sauce.
