German Honey Toast
Thick slices of crusty bread fried in butter, glazed with warm honey, and dusted with cinnamon.
Ingredients
- 2 slices thick-cut crusty white bread
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tbsp wildflower honey
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 pinch flake sea salt

Melt half of the 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Place 2 slices thick-cut crusty white bread in the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.

Flip the 2 slices thick-cut crusty white bread, add remaining 2 tbsp softened unsalted butter to the pan, and toast the second side for 2 minutes.

Drizzle 2 tbsp wildflower honey over the top of each toast while hot in the pan.

Sprinkle with 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon and 1 pinch flake sea salt, then cook for 30 seconds more until honey bubbles gently.

Remove from heat and serve warm.
