Ingredients

- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup glutinous rice flour
- 1/2 tsp fine salt
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup walnuts, finely chopped
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil

Combine 1 cup warm water, 1 tbsp granulated sugar, and 2 tsp active dry yeast in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.

Add 2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup glutinous rice flour, and 1/2 tsp fine salt; stir until a sticky dough forms, then cover and rise for 1 hour.

Mix 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, and 1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts in a bowl to create the filling.

Oil your hands, divide dough into equal portions, flatten each piece, place filling in the center, and pinch sealed.
