Ingredients

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee or espresso, cooled to room temp
  • 6 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 6 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • as needed ice cubes

Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk together 6 tbsp sweetened condensed milk, 6 tbsp heavy cream, and 1/4 tsp fine sea salt in a small bowl until slightly thickened and the salt is dissolved, about 1 minute. Do not over-whip — the foam should be pourable, not stiff.

  2. 2

Fill two tall glasses with ice cubes.

  3. 3

Divide 1 cup cooled to room temp strong brewed coffee or espresso evenly between the glasses.

  4. 4

Spoon or pour the salted cream foam over the top of each glass, allowing it to float on the coffee.

  5. 5

Serve immediately. Stir gently before drinking to taste the layers, or sip through the foam as is.
