  5. 5

Add 1 lb cubed Yukon Gold potatoes and 2 sliced carrots to the pot, cover, and cook for 20 minutes until vegetables are fork-tender and beef internal temperature reaches at least 160°F.

  6. 6

Stir in 1 cup frozen green peas and simmer for 5 minutes until heated through before serving.

Questions

Can I make Seco de Res gluten-free?

Yes. The gluten in this entry is 1 cup pale beer. Swap the beer for a certified gluten-free beer or a dry cider. Everything else proceeds as written.

How long does Seco de Res keep?

Refrigerate leftovers within two hours and eat them within three days. Reheat gently on the stovetop. It also freezes well for up to three months.

Can I halve or double Seco de Res?

Yes. As written it serves 4. Every ingredient in this entry carries precomputed half and double quantities, and the app's batch dial rewrites them inside each step. When doubling on the stovetop, use your widest pan or work in two batches so the food sears instead of steaming.
