Whiskey Sour
A timeless American cocktail that balances bourbon with fresh lemon juice and a touch of sweetness. Adding an egg white creates a silky foam that elevates every sip.
Ingredients
- 2 oz bourbon whiskey
- 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 1 white egg white (optional, for foam)
- as needed ice cubes
- 1 maraschino cherry (for garnish)
- 1 lemon slice (for garnish)

If using 1 white egg white (optional, for foam), add it to a cocktail shaker without ice and dry shake for 15 seconds to build foam.

Add 2 oz bourbon whiskey, 3/4 oz fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz simple syrup to the shaker.

Fill the shaker with as needed ice cubes and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.

Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice or into a chilled coupe glass.

If using egg white, the foam will settle on top naturally after straining.
