Ingredients

  • 2 oz aged Jamaican rum
  • 1/2 oz orange curacao
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
  • 1/2 oz dark rum (for float)
  • as needed crushed ice, crushed
  • 1 sprig fresh mint sprig (for garnish)
  • 1 lime wheel (for garnish)

Instructions

    Fill a cocktail shaker with regular ice cubes.

    Add 2 oz aged Jamaican rum, 1/2 oz orange curacao, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 1/2 oz orgeat syrup to the shaker.

    Shake vigorously for about 12 seconds until well chilled.

    Fill a rocks glass or tiki mug with as needed crushed crushed ice.

    Strain the mixture over the crushed ice.

    Float 1/2 oz dark rum (for float) on top by pouring it gently over the back of a spoon.

    Garnish with 1 sprig fresh mint sprig (for garnish) and 1 lime wheel (for garnish) and serve immediately.
