Fried Bologna Sandwich
A Southern comfort staple featuring crisp pan-fried bologna slices with melted American cheese and tangy condiments on toasted bread.
Ingredients
- 3 slices thick-cut bologna, scored
- 2 slices white bread
- 1 slice American cheese
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Spread 1 tbsp softened unsalted butter on one side of each white bread slice.

Toast 2 slices white bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat until golden, then set aside.

Place 3 slices scored thick-cut bologna into the skillet and cook for 2 minutes per side until crisp around the edges and reaching an internal temperature of 165°F.

Top thick-cut bologna with 1 slice American cheese and heat for 30 seconds until melted.

Spread 1 tbsp mayonnaise and 1 tbsp yellow mustard on the unbuttered sides of the toast, stack thick-cut bologna inside, and serve.
