Ingredients
- 1 lb dried spaghetti
- 1 lb littleneck clams
- 1 lb fresh mussels
- 12 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 14 oz can canned diced tomatoes
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
-
1
Rinse littleneck clams and fresh mussels under cold water, discarding any that don't close. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil and cook 1 lb dried spaghetti according to package directions.
-
2
Heat 4 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 4 cloves minced garlic and 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes, cook for 1 minute.
-
3
Add 1 lb littleneck clams and 1 lb fresh mussels to the skillet and pour in 1/2 cup dry white wine. Cover and cook for 5 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally.
-
4
Stir in 14 oz can canned diced tomatoes and 12 oz peeled and deveined large shrimp. Cook uncovered for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until large shrimp is opaque and littleneck clams and fresh mussels have opened. Discard any unopened shells.
-
5
Check that large shrimp reaches 145°F internal temperature.
-
6
Season with 1 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Drain dried spaghetti and add to the skillet.
-
7
Toss gently until well combined. Divide into bowls and garnish with 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
