Steamed Rice
Light and fluffy white rice cooked on the stovetop. Serves as a classic neutral staple for stir-fries, curries, and daily meals.
Ingredients
- 1 cup long-grain white rice, rinsed
- 1.5 cups water
- 1/2 tsp fine salt

Rinse 1 cup rinsed long-grain white rice in a fine-mesh strainer under cold water until the water runs clear.

Combine 1 cup rinsed long-grain white rice, 1.5 cups water, and 1/2 tsp fine salt in a medium saucepan over high heat.

Bring liquid to a boil, then cover with a tight-fitting lid and reduce heat to low.

Simmer undisturbed for 15 minutes.
