Beef Brisket Sandwich
Slow-roasted beef brisket rubbed with warm spices, shredded, tossed in barbecue sauce, and served on warm buns with pickles.
Ingredients
- 3 lbs beef brisket, trimmed
- 2 tbsp brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 6 hamburger buns, split
- 24 dill pickle slices

Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Mix 2 tbsp packed brown sugar, 2 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp black pepper in a small bowl.

Rub spice mixture evenly over 3 lbs trimmed beef brisket.

Place meat in a deep baking dish and pour 1/2 cup beef broth around the edges.

Cover tight with foil and roast for 3.5 to 4 hours until internal temperature reaches 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Shred beef brisket using two forks and mix with 1 cup barbecue sauce.

Pile meat onto toasted 6 split hamburger buns and top with 24 dill pickle slices.
