Bourbon Pecan Pie
A classic Southern dessert featuring toasted pecans suspended in a rich, buttery custard infused with oaky bourbon.
Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie crust
- 2 cups pecan halves, toasted
- 3 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp fine sea salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Fit 1 unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges.

In a bowl, whisk together 3 beaten large eggs, 1 cup dark corn syrup, 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup melted unsalted butter, 2 tbsp bourbon whiskey, 1 tsp pure vanilla extract, and 1/2 tsp fine sea salt until smooth.

Spread 2 cups toasted pecan halves evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.

Pour the liquid mixture over the pecans and bake for 50 to 55 minutes until the center is set.
