Mala Noodles
Spicy Szechuan noodles with the signature numbing tingle of Sichuan peppercorns, chili oil, and savory broth - the viral trending dish.
Ingredients
- 12 oz fresh egg noodles
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 4 tbsp chili oil
- 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 4 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- 4 tbsp roasted peanuts, crushed
- 4 oz baby bok choy

Bring a large pot of water to boil and cook 12 oz fresh egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In another pot, heat 4 cups chicken broth over medium-high heat.

Add 4 oz baby bok choy and cook for 2-3 minutes until tender-crisp.

Add 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp rice vinegar, and 1 tsp sesame oil to the broth.

Stir in 6 cloves minced garlic, 1 tbsp minced fresh ginger, and 1 tsp Sichuan peppercorns.

Pour the hot broth into serving bowls.

Divide cooked noodles between the bowls.

Drizzle 4 tbsp chili oil over each bowl.
