Ingredients

  • 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers, rinsed
  • 2 cups pineapple peels and core, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp whole cloves, crushed
  • 8 cups water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice

Instructions

    In a large pot, combine 2 cups rinsed dried hibiscus flowers, 2 cups chopped pineapple peels and core, 2 tbsp grated fresh ginger, 1 tsp crushed whole cloves, and 8 cups water.

    Bring the liquid to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Remove from heat and allow the tea to steep and cool completely for 30 minutes.
