Pork Chops and Gravy
Tender pan-fried pork chops topped with a silky pan gravy made from the drippings. Comfort food at its finest served over rice or potatoes.
Ingredients
- 4 pork chops (bone-in, 1-inch thick), seasoned with salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1.5 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Season 4 seasoned with salt and pepper pork chops (bone-in, 1-inch thick) with 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.

Heat 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add pork chops and cook for 6-7 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 145°F. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, cook 1/2 sliced onion for 2-3 minutes until softened.

Pour in 1.5 cups chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Mix 1 tbsp cornstarch with 1 tablespoon water and stir into the broth. Simmer for 2 minutes until thickened.

Stir in 1/2 cup heavy cream and return pork chops to the skillet.

Simmer for 3-4 minutes until heated through. Serve immediately.
