Miswa Soup
A soothing noodle soup featuring delicate wheat noodles, savory ground pork, and tender patola in a garlic broth.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup sponge gourd, sliced
- 2 oz miswa noodles
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped

Heat 1 tbsp cooking oil in a medium pot over medium heat.

Add 4 minced garlic cloves and 1/2 cup diced yellow onion, sauteing for 3 minutes until softened and aromatic.

Add 1/2 lb ground pork and cook for 5 minutes, breaking it into small pieces, until browned and cooked through with an internal temperature reaching 160 degrees F.

Stir in 2 tbsp fish sauce and pour in 6 cups chicken broth, bringing the liquid to a simmer.

Add 1 cup sliced sponge gourd and simmer for 3 minutes until tender-crisp.

Stir in 2 oz miswa noodles and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until soft.

Turn off the heat, garnish with 2 tbsp chopped green onions, and serve warm.
