Charbroiled Oysters
Fresh oysters on the half shell charred over high flame with a garlic herb butter and grated Romano cheese.
Ingredients
- 24 fresh oysters on the half shell, shucked
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp Creole seasoning
- 1/2 cup Romano cheese, grated

Preheat grill to high heat, around 450 to 500 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine 1 cup softened unsalted butter, 1/4 cup minced garlic cloves, 1/4 cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, and 1 tsp Creole seasoning until uniform.

Place 24 shucked fresh oysters on the half shell directly onto the hot grill grate shell side down.

Spoon the butter mixture over each shell and sprinkle top with 1/2 cup grated Romano cheese.

Grill for 5 to 7 minutes until the butter bubbles furiously and oysters reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F.
