German Cucumber Salad
Thinly sliced cucumbers tossed in a chilled sour cream dressing with fresh dill and white wine vinegar. A traditional side dish that is tangy, light, and refreshing.
Ingredients
- 2 English cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
- 1/4 tsp black pepper

Toss 2 thinly sliced English cucumbers with half of the 1 tsp salt in a colander and let drain for 15 minutes.

Gently press the English cucumbers with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

Whisk 1/2 cup sour cream, 2 tbsp white wine vinegar, 1 tsp granulated sugar, 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill, 1/4 tsp black pepper, and remaining salt in a bowl.

Add English cucumbers to the dressing and toss until fully coated.

Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.
