Crispy deep-fried dough pockets stuffed with melted mozzarella and tomato sauce. A savory street food classic with a golden crust and cheesy interior.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 lb pizza dough, divided
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
- 1.5 cups low-moisture mozzarella, shredded
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 4 cups vegetable oil

Dust a work surface with 2 tbsp all-purpose flour and roll 1 lb divided pizza dough into four round disks.

Spoon 1/2 cup marinara sauce into the center of each disk, leaving a half-inch border.

Top sauce with 1.5 cups shredded low-moisture mozzarella and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp dried oregano.
