Dasik
Traditional Korean pressed tea cakes made from toasted grain and sesame powders bound with honey. These bite-sized treats are pressed into decorative wooden molds and served during tea ceremonies.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup roasted black sesame powder
- 1/2 cup roasted soybean flour
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp grain rice syrup
- 1/8 tsp fine sea salt
- 1 tsp sesame oil

In a small bowl, whisk together 3 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp grain rice syrup, and 1/8 tsp fine sea salt until smooth.

Divide the syrup mixture equally into two separate mixing bowls.

Add 1/2 cup roasted black sesame powder to the first bowl and knead until a pliable dough forms.

Add 1/2 cup roasted soybean flour to the second bowl and knead until a smooth dough forms.

Lightly brush decorative cookie molds with 1 tsp sesame oil.

Press small dough balls firmly into the molds, then unmold carefully and serve.
