Mi Goreng
A classic Indonesian stir-fried noodle dish with a savory, sweet, and spicy sauce tossed with chicken and fresh cabbage.
Ingredients
- 8 oz egg noodles, cooked
- 3 tbsp kecap manis sweet soy sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sambal oelek chili paste
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 shallot, sliced thin
- 8 oz chicken breast, sliced thin
- 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
- 2 green onions, sliced

Whisk 3 tbsp kecap manis sweet soy sauce, 2 tbsp soy sauce, and 2 tsp sambal oelek chili paste together in a small bowl for the sauce.

Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.

Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 2 sliced thin shallot, stir-frying for 1 minute until fragrant.

Add 8 oz sliced thin chicken breast and stir-fry for 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through and reaching an internal temperature of 165 degrees F.

Toss in 2 cups shredded green cabbage and stir-fry for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly wilted.

Add 8 oz cooked egg noodles and the prepared sauce, tossing constantly for 2 minutes until everything is hot and well coated.

Garnish with 2 sliced green onions and serve immediately.
